The D-Link DSB-C100 USB Digital Video Camera combines new optical technology, a hands-free audio microphone, and complete audio visual software, all at an affordable price. With this high resolution color (CCD) and CMOS sensor camera, you can turn your PC into an Internet audiovisual phone. With easy to follow instructions, everything you need to start communicating on your PC is in this box. Send video e-mail messages anywhere right now. In fact, no additional receiving software is required, because you can include a video viewer with each message. The DSB-C100 comes complete with all the necessary hardware and software to begin making digital videos immediately. No video capture card or additional hardware is necessary to use the camera (though a soundcard is required for audio.)
The unit attaches via a standard USB type A connector to a PC or downstream USB hub. The USB (Universal Serial Bus) connection offers true plug-and-play functionality. No interface cards to install. No cable hassles. While PCI interfaces are a little faster for desktop cameras, the one-cord, one-connection USB is faster than a parallel port and more convenient than all other interfaces.
